Today in class, we did partner work on a country of our choice. I worked with Alayna and we worked on America. We had to make a slideshow that answered questions such as:
- What kind of government does this country have?
- What is the leader's name?
- If you wanted to overthrow or get rid of this president what could you do?
We made a slideshow answering these questions and then I went onto a White House Petition website and I signed some petitions about the country. One petition I signed was for Japan to stop killing dolpins. Another I signed was for patients traveling back from an area to be held in a hospital for 21 days until they are 100% clear of ebola and the doctors think and know this for a fact. I think that in this case, we would rather be safe than sorry. Just sending one person home from Africa to their home without ebola symptoms on that day could in the next few days spread to her entire family, and then to family friends and extended family. I think that this is the correct move.
