Tuesday 25th

Today in class, we watched more of the movie. I think that this is a good movie to watch at this time of year with Thanksgiving right around the corner. This movie has helped me to realize that I need to be thankful for what I have and not worry about what I don't have. In America, we take things for granted and look more at what we don't have than what we actually have. In India these kids live in the filtiest places and still are grateful for the miserable life that they live. I feel terrible watching this. The kids watched their parents be killed and continue to live without parents. This movies just goes to show that culture is so much different and this movies shows how much differently kids grow up.

In class movie

Today in class, we watched a movie about how Indians grew up and indian culture. Some things that are different between their society and ours is that the kids there are so poor that they rumage around for money and tings in the trash to search for value in absolutely anything. Another thing that is different is that there is trash everywhere. Also, no people that are poor in the USA compare to the poorness of India. Also, in India in these attacks, there would be tons and tons of people killed. This was all because of clashes in religion. The police come into the croud everywhere and try to capture these kids. The polic abuse people and kill people and try to answeres.

American National Anthem

Lyrics: Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming? And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep, Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam, In full glory reflected now shines in the stream: 'Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave! And where is that band who so vauntingly swore That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion, A home and a country should leave us no more! Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution. No refuge could save the hireling and slave From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave: And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave! Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand Between their loved home and the war's desolation! Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation. Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: "In God is our trust." And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Test day

Today in class, we had a test. I thought that some questions were easy and some were hard. The hardest part of studying was remembering which types of governement belongs to which country. I think remembering the countries leaders was easy. I think I did okay. I am a bit worried because I tend to overthink the easy questions.

Once Alayna and I thought that we were finished we asked Mr. Schick to come over and look at our blog. We answered these questions then made some more changes to our blog.
